You're viewing a sample family archive — not a live vault.

A private family history website — not a social network — built to keep stories, photographs, and voices for the people who come after us.
Heirloom began with a simple fear: that the people we love would become footnotes. Wei Chen arrived in New York with a suitcase and a promise. Carmen Rivera danced with him at St. Mark's. Their children built lives across boroughs. Their grandchildren inherited recipes, jokes, and a few dusty VHS tapes.
Hard drives fail. Attics flood. Relatives move and lose touch. We wanted a warm, durable place — a digital family album — where the Chen–Rivera family could write blog-style stories, gather photos into albums, and keep home videos with captions and people tags.
There are no strangers here. No feeds designed to keep you scrolling. Just Home, Stories, Photos, Videos, a Timeline across decades, a People directory, and this page explaining why the room exists.
If you are reading this as a grandchild not yet born: welcome. We saved this for you. Start with the timeline, meet everyone in People, or open A Suitcase and a Promise.
